Metaroom Scan App
Contact Us prompt
We’ve added a Contact Us prompt to make it easier for you to provide feedback or learn more about Metaroom through a free expert consultation. You can schedule support calls via phone or video meeting at your convenience.
Color tagging for Snapshots
Improve internal project communication with the ability to preselect color tags for your Snapshots. Five color options are available, and you can update colors during Snapshot review mode after a scan or later in the Metaroom platform.
Snapshot thumbnails in review mode
Enjoy improved interaction with Snapshots in the section review mode. Clicking on a Snapshot thumbnail after scanning provides a preview, and clicking again expands the Snapshot to full view, making navigation and editing easier.
Notes for Snapshots
Annotate every detail after the scanning process with the new Notes for Snapshots feature. Expand Snapshots after scanning a section to add notes to specific Snapshots.
Metaroom Platform
Improved UI in 3D scene
We’ve introduced a three-layer view in the 3D scene on the Metaroom platform. With this update, users can easily navigate through the model tree on the left sidebar while always having quick access to Scan Frames and the ability to create 3D elements via the right sidebar.
Snapshot creation
Mark important areas within already scanned spaces with the new Snapshot Creation feature. You can now add locational markers to any Scan Frame, making it easy for professionals to highlight areas missed during the scanning process.
Color tagging for Snapshots and room elements
Enhance your Snapshots and room elements with color tagging for better orientation within 3D room models and 2D floor plans. This feature improves internal communication, allowing users to categorize elements visually.
Notes feature
Document critical details that may not be visually evident in the 3D model with the updated Notes feature. Notes can now be assigned to Snapshots or any room elements.
Configurable reconstruction emails
Take control of your notifications with the ability to configure reconstruction emails. If you’d prefer not to receive an email when your scanned space is successfully reconstructed, you can disable this option in your User Profile settings.
Failed reconstruction notifications
In case of any issues during the reconstruction process, users will now receive a notification email. Our support team will also reach out promptly to resolve the issue, ensuring a smoother experience.

Metaroom Scan App
Renamed "Points of Interest" to "Snapshots"
The feature formerly known as “Points of Interest” has been renamed to “Snapshots.” Snapshots retain the same functionality as Points of Interest, ensuring continuity in your experience.
Enhanced scanner interface
Based on user feedback, we’ve refined the scanner interface by updating button icons and adding labels, improving usability and clarity.
Snapshot counter on the scanner interface
New Snapshot counter has been added at the top of the scanner UI to confirm successful captures and ensuring you never miss a count of Snapshots.
Updated design of warning messages
We’ve redesigned the warning messages to be more prominent and better inform users of potential issues during the scanning process.
After-Scan informational page
An additional post-scan informational page has been introduced to guide users on changing devices and opening the scanned 3D model in the desktop version of Metaroom Platform.

A new set of in-app tutorials, Pro Tips, is now available for all Metaroom Scan App users. These concise and informative tips are designed to enhance your scanning skills and help you make the most of the Metaroom scanner.

Demo room
If you don’t currently have the appropriate Apple Pro device for scanning, you can still explore the capabilities of Metaroom Platform by accessing the Demo Room. It gives you the opportunity to see what the final results of scanning can look like. In the Demo Room, you can interact with a demo 3D model, explore available features, and experiment with various export formats.
2D DXF & 2D Floor Plan PDF exports
Export your newly scanned spaces in 2D DXF format for seamless integration with 2D-compatible software such as AutoCAD, Chief Architect, Bluebeam Revu, and others. Additionally, maintain detailed project documentation with 2D Floor Plan and 2D Report PDFs, available in both metric and imperial measurement systems.
Improved geometry
We’ve conducted a major rework of the geometric representation of scanned spaces. Enjoy even more precise geometry and measurements in all your newly scanned buildings.
