Tracking Assistant
Experience real-time guidance with our new Tracking Assistant, designed to improve scanning accuracy. The feature instantly alerts user when scanning movements or environmental conditions need adjustment, ensuring more precise scan data. Tracking Assistant is enabled by default for all users but can be disabled in the settings within the Metaroom Scan App.
Improved scan protocol
We’ve refined the scanning protocol to enhance clarity and quality when capturing multi-room environments or large spaces. The updated protocol guides you through a three-step process: Scan Section → Review Section → Relocate to the Next Section. Follow these steps—scan a section, close the scanning loop, review the results, then move to the next section and begin new section scanning – to ensure more comprehensive and accurate data capture.

Simplified 2D plans for real estate listings
We’ve introduced a new export format for 2D floor plans tailored specifically to the real estate sector. The Simplified 2D Plan includes only the essential information necessary for property listings. This export format is provided as a .ZIP file containing 2D floor plans in .PDF, .PNG, and .SVG formats, ensuring easy sharing and integration.
North orientation and scale indicator in 2D plans
Get even clearer insights in your 2D Floor Plans with newly added North Orientation and scale indicators. This information is included in 2D Floor Plans (PDF), the PDF Project Report, and Simplified Floor Plans export formats, ensuring better context and accuracy.
Improved .IFC export format
We’ve enhanced the quality of the .IFC 4 export format to deliver a more precise representation of scan data geometry. This improvement ensures greater accuracy and reliability when integrating your scan data into industry-standard workflows.
Adjusting GPS location on scans
You can now update the GPS coordinates of your scans directly in the Metaroom Workspace. Simply click “Edit Scan” in the Project list and select the desired location on the map. This new feature ensures your scan data is geo-accurate and seamlessly integrated into your workflow.

Color tagging for Snapshots
Improve internal project communication with the ability to preselect color tags for your Snapshots. Five color options are available, and you can update colors during Snapshot review mode after a scan or later in the Metaroom Workspace.
Snapshot thumbnails in review mode
Enjoy improved interaction with Snapshots in the section review mode. Clicking on a Snapshot thumbnail after scanning provides a preview, and clicking again expands the Snapshot to full view, making navigation and editing easier.
Notes for Snapshots
Annotate every detail after the scanning process with the new Notes for Snapshots feature. Expand Snapshots after scanning a section to add notes to specific Snapshots.

Improved UI in 3D scene
We’ve introduced a three-layer view in the 3D scene in the Metaroom Workspace. With this update, users can easily navigate through the model tree on the left sidebar while always having quick access to Scan Frames and the ability to create 3D elements via the right sidebar.
Snapshot creation
Mark important areas within already scanned spaces with the new Snapshot Creation feature. You can now add locational markers to any Scan Frame, making it easy for professionals to highlight areas missed during the scanning process.
Color tagging for Snapshots and room elements
Enhance your Snapshots and room elements with color tagging for better orientation within 3D room models and 2D floor plans. This feature improves internal communication, allowing users to categorize elements visually.
Notes feature
Document critical details that may not be visually evident in the 3D model with the updated Notes feature. Notes can now be assigned to Snapshots or any room elements.
Configurable reconstruction emails
Take control of your notifications with the ability to configure reconstruction emails. If you’d prefer not to receive an email when your scanned space is successfully reconstructed, you can disable this option in your User Profile settings.
Failed reconstruction notifications
In case of any issues during the reconstruction process, users will now receive a notification email. Our support team will also reach out promptly to resolve the issue, ensuring a smoother experience.

2D DXF & 2D Floor Plan PDF exports
